On September 4, 2009, infowars.com featured an article by Stephen Lendman, originally published on globalresearch.ca, entitled, “Predicting Worse Ahead from America’s Economic Crisis,” which cites the predictions of world-class businessmen, economists and a famous Russian professor, declaring “The End of the U.S.”

A day earlier, on the September 3, 2009, Alex Jones Show, the world heard the best-selling author, syndicated radio host and patriot, Steve Quayle, call Christians everywhere to repent “on the order of Nineveh,” as he outlined the reasons for the complete collapse of the US economy and the preparations underway for the destruction of millions of people, by means of the flu pandemic emergency, declared recently by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Quayle’s desperate plea for Christians to awake to a sense of their awful situation, so that they can take the necessary action to resist the New World Order, in the strength of the Lord, echos the cry of Alex Jones: “Resistance is victory!” he cries out to his massive audience. Listeners to his show have heard Jones explain for years, with clearly-documented evidence, that the American calamity is being engineered by the New World Order (NWO) that they might institute a planetary regime and enslave mankind, but, as yet, the vast majority of people in the Western World are ignorant of the diabolical intentions of these world tyrants.

Worse yet, many Christians, who have been duly warned, refuse to believe that they must join the resistance. Many of them are deceived into believing that they will be “raptured” away from all the trouble into which the world is about to be plunged.

Jones, concurring with Quayle, exclaims, “the safety is off, the trigger is cocked, the tyranny gun is to our head,” invoking a modernized version of the Biblical metaphor of the bow and arrow, where, in the words of the Psalmist, “…the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may [secretly] shoot at the upright in heart.” If the Christians are the upright in heart, then we understand that the threat is aimed at them.

Christians know, from the Bible, that both the morning and the night are coming. For Idumea, or the world, night is coming, but for the long dispersed of Israel, the morning soon breaks. Isaiah declares that his “Burden of Dumah,” or the urgent question to be answered, from the land of deep, utter, silence, (think, “land of the dead”), is “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?” (Isa 21:11)

The Edomites were looking for deliverance from the darkness of the Babylonian threat, and so they cried out to the watchman (Isaiah) to update them, and his reply was, “The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.” (Isa 21:12)

This is generally understood by Christianity to mean, symbolically, that the morning is coming for Israel (those who hear the voice of the Lord and repent), but the night is coming for Edom (those who will not hear his voice and will not repent.)

The fact that the urgent question is coming from “the land of the dead,” is instructive, given that the Lord, speaking through the American prophet, Joseph Smith Jr, warned the world, saying,

“Hearken, O ye people of my church, saith the voice of him who dwells on high, and whose eyes are upon all men; yea, verily I say: Hearken ye people from afar; and ye that are upon the islands of the sea, listen together. … Prepare ye, prepare ye for that which is to come, for the Lord is nigh; …[and I] will that all men shall know that the day speedily cometh; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand, when peace shall be taken from the earth, and the devil shall have power over his own dominion. And also the Lord shall have power over his saints, and shall reign in their midst, and shall come down in judgment upon Idumea, or the world….”(Section 1, LDS Doctrine and Covenants)

That Americans might better understand what they face, the Lord revealed to the American prophet the true nature of the New World Order conspiracy, through a sacred record preserved for the purpose. It shows that the devil was the founder of this wicked order, in ancient times, as well as in modern times. Speaking of the ancient inhabitants of America, the author of the record states that these people

…formed a secret combination, even as they of old; which combination is most abominable and wicked above all, in the sight of God;

These words of warning, coming to us from the silent grave of those whose civilization now slumbers in the dust, because they let the devil harden their hearts, are clear and unmistakable. They confirm Steve Quayle’s insistence that Christians cannot stand by and watch this evil overcome the nation with impunity. His cry of repentance, “on the order of Nineveh,” is right on.
